Recently, Wuhu Shipyard held a delivery and naming ceremony for the first vessel of 7800 dwt multi-purpose vessel built for Langh Ship Company. Laura, the General Director of Langh Ship Company, and her family members, as well as relevant leaders from Sdari Design Institute and DNV Classification Society, as well as Zhang Zhao, the Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Wuhu Shipyard, attendeded the ceremony. The ship was named by Greta, the godmother.
After the ceremony, the shipowner company highly praised the company's hard work and achievements in the construction process of "LOVISA", expressing their expectation for the remaining two vessels and the possibility of continued cooperation in subsequent projects.
As the first ship built by Wuhu Shipyard for Langh Ship Company. Lovisa was designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI), with a total length of 119.90 meters, a molded width of 16.50 meters, and a molded depth of 10.4 meters. The ship is equipped with one Wartsila 9L34 dual fuel main engine, which meets the nitrogen oxide emission III requirements in LNG mode and can be propelled with controllable propellers. Two main generator units are equipped with SCR systems to meet the III requirements for nitrogen oxide emissions. One variable frequency shaft generator can meet the electricity demand during navigation and reduce energy consumption. The ship has two cargo holds, one large and one small. The large cargo one is about 54 meters long and is equipped with movable transverse bulkheads, suitable for loading in three positions, meeting flexible loading requirements. As a multi-purpose ship with extremely high requirements for cargo hold loading, full consideration was given to cargo hold suitability, loading flexibility. at the beginning of its design. The design of the lift away hatch cover facilitates the transportation of large items, and can meet the requirements of transporting large items 90 meters long and 15 meters wide when the loading capacity allows. The design and application of the tween deck ensure the rapid loading and unloading of steel coils and the utilization of cabin capacity to the greatest extent, with significant characteristics of economy, environmental protection, and low-carbon.

The delivery of the "Lovisa" has laid a solid technical and construction foundation for the subsequent series of vessels, showcasing the construction and delivery capabilities of Wuhu Shipyard, and consolidating its market position in high value-added vessels.
