As the second quarter reaches its midpoint, the company’s overall production and construction work is progressing steadily and in an orderly manner according to plan. Across all sites and projects, operations follow the scheduled production milestones, with coordinated efforts focusing on key tasks such as the start of new vessels, sea trials, and the closing stages of various processes. By leveraging proven construction experience and standardized procedures, the company continues to optimize efficiency and improve quality, making every effort to ensure the annual production targets are met as planned.
Keel Laying of the Fifth 22,000-Ton Hybrid Chemical Tanker
On May 15, the keel laying ceremony was held for the fifth vessel in the 22,000ton hybrid chemical tanker series, built for the Swedish owner Donsö Shipping Company.

The vessel has an overall length of 167.7 m, a beam of 26.5 m, a depth of 13.9 m, a draught of 9.2 m, a cargo capacity of 28,000 m³, and a deadweight of 22,000 tonnes. It is powered by an LNG/fuel oil dualfuel propulsion system combined with electric drive, meets Class 1A icestrengthening design standards, is capable of operating in unrestricted navigation worldwide, and can carry refined oil products as well as various chemical liquid cargoes.
The 14,600-Ton Multi-Purpose Heavy Lift Vessel No. 14603 Returns Triumphantly from Sea Trials
On May 12, the third 14,600-ton multi-purpose heavy lift vessel (No. 14603), built for Germany’s SAL Heavy Lift Group, returned triumphantly from sea trials.

The sea trial period for this vessel was shortened by 50% compared to the first ship. Based on a thorough review of the construction and sea trial experience from the first and second vessels, the project team standardized and solidified the test items and organizational processes in advance, and proactively communicated and confirmed each item with the owner and classification society. This resulted in a collaborative approach of “one consensus, fullprocess efficiency”. Ultimately, the project team successfully completed all required test items, and all performance indicators met the design requirements.
The project team is now closely following the secondquarter production milestones, making every effort to tackle the remaining processes, accelerating the final phase of the project, and ensuring that the delivery target is met on schedule.
Construction Begins on the Fifth 50K MR Tanker in the Series at the Weihai Base
On April 30, the keel laying ceremony for W2435, the fifth vessel in the 50K MR oil tanker series built at the Weihai base, was held at the Weihai base. Representatives of the owner, ABS classification society, and relevant company leaders attended the ceremony.
The 50K MR oil tanker now under construction, as the fifth vessel in the same series, continues to iterate and optimize based on the construction standards of the first four sister ships, constantly upgrading and improving in terms of speed, workmanship, quality, and other aspects. The vessel has an overall length of 182.75 m, a beam of 32.2 m, a depth of 19.1 m, and a design deadweight of 50,000 tonnes. The cargo hold features a unique design, equipped with 12 cargo oil tanks and 2 slop tanks, adopting a raked bow, a transom stern with stern bulb, and a semispade rudder. The propulsion system is powered by a MAN 6S50ME engine with a scrubber, and reserves space for carbon capture and a methanol tank, making it deeply aligned with the company’s development strategy in terms of green, lowcarbon, and sustainable practices. It is currently one of the main vessel types being built at the Weihai base, and has received unanimous recognition from the owner and classification society.

A wave of production and construction is now surging. All employees are seizing the momentum, building on their achievements, turning experience into tangible results, and channeling their drive into energy. With a more vigorous spirit and a more pragmatic approach, they are staying focused on key milestones, racing against the schedule, going all out to overcome challenges, and striving to secure victory in all goals and tasks for the second quarter.
