Keel Laying Successfully Completed for Deep-Sea Research Vessel on Building Berth

On June 26, 2026, the keel laying ceremony for the deepsea research vessel, a key project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences under the 14th FiveYear Plan for science and education infrastructure, was successfully held on the 2# building berth at Wuhu Shipyard, marking a critical milestone in the construction of this vessel.

Relevant representatives from the Institute of Acoustics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wuhu Maritime Safety Administration, China Classification Society Wuhu Branch, and the Company attended the ceremony.

The deep-sea research vessel is the most advanced and highest-level marine research vessel of the Chinese Academy of Sciences constructed in Anhui Province in recent years.
