"I volunteer to join the Communist Party of China and support the Party's creed... I am ready to sacrifice everything for the Party and the people and never rebel." On the morning of July 13, the company's Party committee organized nearly 80 party members from five party branches to go to the red education base, Banziji, to carry out “remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind” theme education. 

At Banziji landing point of the first ship board of the million soldiers crossing the river, backed by the river, the Party members solemnly raised their right hand in front of the red Party flag to recall the vows of joining the Party and look back the original aspiration to start again.

In the military exhibition hall of Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign  at Banziji, the commentators told the glorious history of Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign and the liberation of Wuhu. 

All party members visited the precious historical materials such as light and heavy weapons, ammunition, communication equipment, military uniforms, maps and other materials used by the People's Liberation Army at Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign. The heroic scenes of the first landing ship and the revolutionary stories of the heroes were reproduced,  visitors felt the red memory of the blood and the faith that existed in the artillery. Seventy years passed and today's Banziji is picturesque, quiet and peaceful, with blue waves on the river and ships moving around.  “History is shocking, and it makes us more respectful and grateful to the revolutionary ancestors. Though the smoke of gunpowder has dispersed, the red spirit and fine traditions of the revolutionary ancestors should remain in the heart forever. ”

In the afternoon, all the party members came to the former headquarters of the Third Division of the New Fourth Army of Zhongfen Village. They felt that they could not calm down for a long time. General Tan Zhenlin once led the three detachments of the New Fourth Army to fight in the front line of Wannan, and waged an arduous struggle against the Japanese aggressors. During the visit, the historical anti-war memorial comrades and the Chinese good man Xu Xiaowang led the guests to visit the Memorial Hall of the New Fourth Army's three detachments headquarters, vividly reappearing the heroic deeds of the New Fourth Army in Fanchang's five major defenses, and reviewed the story of the heroic fighting of the Party members and people. The pictures of the revolutionary ancestors and touching stories deeply shocked the hearts of every Party member and brought everyone's thoughts back to the revolutionary war era, so that everyone once again felt the thrilling and arduous revolutionary course and experienced the indomitable revolutionary spirit and noble sentiments of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries.

The spirit of revolutionary martyrs is an indispensable spiritual pillar for building socialism in the new era. Their persistent pursuit of communist convictions, the persistence in truth, the strict preservation of party secrets, and the calmness of confronting difficult dilemmas, the fearlessness of devoting to the motherland and the people, it is worth learning and inheriting. As one of the 156 projects planned by China's Fifth Five-Year Plan, Wuhu Shipyard contributed 34 firsts to the construction of the Chinese navy. On the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Party, all Party members went to the first ship landing point of Crossing-the-Yangtze-River Campaign to learn and study. The original aspiration of joining the Party and the historical mission have been further advanced. The spirit of the first ship of Crossing-the -Yangtze-River Campaign of unity, working together, being fearless of danger and difficulties, the courage to fight have been further carried forward. All Party members must play the pioneering role in work and build well every ship, making new contributions to the realization of China’s goal of “strengthening the sea”.
