Newsletter! The "two sessions" of the shipbuilding industry were successfully held in Wuhu

On September 26 and 27, The 15th Yangtze River Delta Region Shipbuilding Industry Development Forum and the 20th Academic Conference on Ship Development and Water Tourism was successfully held in Wuhu. The two sessions were co-sponsored by SNAMEC of Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, Liaoning, Anhui Province, and Wuhu City, and Wuhu Shipyard.

More than 100 people from the shipbuilding and marine engineering equipment manufacturing and R&D fields, including experts, scholars, scientific and technical personnel, university teachers and entrepreneurs from the six provinces and Wuhu city, participated in the forum. As the organizer of this conference, Zhang Zhao, Chairman of Anhui Shipbuilding Engineering Society and General Manager of Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd., expressed warm welcome to the guests during the speech. Chairman Zhang Zhao said that the Ship Development and Water System Academic Exchange Meeting has been held for 19 sessions, and the Yangtze River Delta Ship Industry Development Forum has been held for fourteen sessions. These two industry events have effectively promoted exchanges and cooperation between the government and enterprises, and between the government and the academic community. It actively promoted the academic exchange of ship and the development of the shipbuilding industry, becoming a influential activity for the shipbuilding industry to carry out regional cooperation, explore innovation drive, and regional linkage. Through this forum, we hope to achieve fruitful results in the exploration of ship product innovation, shipbuilding technology innovation, process innovation, management innovation, etc., and further improve the shipbuilding industry's ability of "scientific and technological guidance, intelligent manufacturing, and integrated development" to promote the high quality development of China's shipbuilding industry, and finally realize the dream of a strong country in transportation and the dream of a strong country in the ocean.

In the academic exchanges, Wang Ruhua, deputy general manager of Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd., on behalf of Anhui Shipbuilding Engineering Society, made an academic report on “Innovation Drives, Integration of Two Technologies, and Integration of High Quality into the Yangtze River Delta”. The report was based on the implementation of the "Outline of the Yangtze River Delta Integrated Development Plan", from the pilot of LNG ship transportation, strengthening regional alliances, implementing misplaced development, intelligent manufacturing upgrade planning, building lean production capacity, and establishing a two-in-one integration system to make forecast for future shipbuilding industry.

On September 27th, the delegates came to  Wuhu Shipyard and conducted a half-day visit

In the new factory site of Wuhu Shipyard in San Shan, the guests first came to the Exhibition Hall to learn more about the 119-year brilliant history of Wuhu Shipyard, and they praised the heavy cultural heritage of the shipyard. The delegation also came to the joint factory robot welding platform, outfitting wharf and No. 1 slipway. When they came to the robot welding platform, the guests were impressed by the precise welding level of the robots. When they visited the outfitting wharf, the guests lamented the magnificent momentum and hardware conditions of the nearly 1000-meter riverside wharf. They have taken pictures before 64,000 tons of Huajiang 807. In just less than two hours of visit time, Wuhu Shipyard left a deep impression on the visiting guests. The guests gave full affirmation to the culture, hardware facilities and manufacturing capabilities of the shipyard, and they were full of expectations for the future development of Wuhu Shipyard. The guests said: "Wuhu Shipyard is very famous in China and has a long history. It is an old-fashioned military enterprise in China. Today, I have the honor to visit, and I have seen the breakthroughs in the intelligent manufacturing, management innovation and speed-up and efficiency improvement. I believe that the future development of the shipyard will be better!"
