On July 4 and 5, the design review meeting of the first offshore wind power operation and maintenance mother ship in China was successfully operated in Wuhu, Anhui. The WS joined hands with Guangdong Offshore Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Co., Ltd., industry experts, and top design teams to carry out face-to-face technical discussions. "Collected Intelligence" promotes the design of "Made in China" the first offshore wind power operation and maintenance mother ship, and helps the green development of my country's offshore wind power energy industry.
Fan Zhaoji, General Manager of Ship Eastern Guangdong Offshore Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Co., Ltd., Weng Zhenping, Dean of Marine Equipment Research Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Zhang Zhao, General Manager of Jianfang Fanghuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd., and representatives of industry review experts attended the meeting. The president Weng Zhenping served as the leader of the expert review team, and Major General He Dexin, the former chairman of the World Wind Energy Association, sent a congratulatory message to congratulate the meeting on its complete success.
Five top domestic and overseas offshore wind power operation and maintenance ship design teams, including the 702 Research Institute of China Shipbuilding Group and Ulstein, presented a very wonderful design plan to the conference. The participating reviewers commented one by one, heatedly discussed, and expert representatives. They have made suggestions and made collisions of wisdom for the birth of China's first offshore wind power operation and maintenance mother ship.

During the meeting, Wuhu Shipyard and Guangdong Offshore Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Co., Ltd. (Guangdong Ocean Shipping) and China Shipbuilding Corporation No. 702 completed the signing of a large-scale small waterline area double-body operation and maintenance ship design contract. The ship is a new type of operation and maintenance ship jointly developed by Wuhu Shipyard and Guangdong Shipping Maintenance and China Shipbuilding Institute 702. For the first time in the industry, the small waterline catamaran is used as a platform, and it can operate safely in Class 4 sea conditions (H1/3= 1.25~2.5m), five-level sea state (H1/3=3.25m) safe navigation; at the same time, the ship adopts the Z-type propulsion plus semi-slip gearbox design concept for the first time, which is shorter than the conventional wind power operation and maintenance time half. After completion and delivery, the batch of small waterline area double-body operation and maintenance ships will form an operation and maintenance operation matrix with the operation and maintenance mother ship.

At present, my country is undergoing energy transformation and taking a green and sustainable development path has become a consensus. The offshore wind power development is an significant force to promote this strategy. The state continues to increase its policy support for the offshore wind power industry. The construction of offshore wind power has entered an outbreak period, and the demand for offshore operation and maintenance has increased accordingly. As the core carrier of offshore wind power operation and maintenance, professional operation and maintenance ship construction technology will become one of the core technologies that will promote the high-quality development of my country's offshore wind power industry in the future. At present, there is still a large gap between domestic offshore wind power operation and maintenance technology and European high-end technology. The number of professional operation and maintenance ships is lacking. Most of them are mainly converted fishing vessels and transportation vessels, and their safety, speed, loading and unloading capabilities are poor.
The completion of the design review of the first "made in China" offshore wind power operation and maintenance mother ship has an important milestone for the development of my country's offshore wind power operation and maintenance. In the future, it will promote the realization of the concept of "offshore base offshore" in my country's wind power operation and maintenance market, and change from near-sea shipping to far-sea shipping, completely subverting the Asian concept that only Europe and the United States have a wind power operation and maintenance mother ship.
The "Made in China" first offshore wind power operation and maintenance mother ship is designed with "Going out, Reachable, and Operable". The ship can complete the boarding and operation tasks of wind power at a meaningful wave height of more than 3 meters and 2 water flow. High-tech such as power batteries and telescopic propellers. As a living platform on the sea, the ship also has a reading room, game room, gym and other humanistic functional facilities, which will bring more safety, comfort, speed. And it will bring a safer, more comfortable, faster and smarter O&M operation experience to Chinese crew.

It is understood that Guangdong Offshore Wind Power Operation and Maintenance Co., Ltd. (Guangdong Ocean Shipping) is a professional operation and maintenance company specializing in offshore wind farm services. Wuhu Shipyard is a shipbuilding enterprise with a long history of 100 years, which has set a record in the history of Chinese shipbuilding. Wuhu Shipyard once set the 37th first in the history of Chinese shipbuilding, and has rich experience in the design and construction of small waterline area ships, aluminum alloy catamarans and other ship types. Based on the principle of mutual trust and win-win and coordinated development, Guangdong Shipping Maintenance and Wuhu Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Have joined forces to develop in-depth strategic cooperation in the field of design and construction of new operation and maintenance ships to help the rapid development of my country's offshore wind power operation and maintenance business and to integrate with international advanced standards.
