With Multi-party Cooperation, 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier Successfully Passed Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge!

At 11 am on June 22, 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier “Ding Sheng 105” built by Wuhu Shipyard successfully passed the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge with the joint efforts of all parties! With the advent of the centennial of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the government and enterprises work together to tide over the difficulties and present a gift to the special day with actions!

Early plan   Group efforts

Due to the navigation restriction of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier should take advantage of the favorable opportunity of low water level of the Yangtze River to pass through the bridge and deliver the ships on schedule. Wuhu Municipal People's government, Jiangsu Provincial maritime administration and other relevant competent departments attach great importance to the bridge crossing issue, thoroughly implement the general requirements of "learning party history, understanding thoughts, doing practical things and opening up a new situation", and organize scheme review for many times. On the morning of June 21, Cheng Gang, vice mayor of Wuhu Municipal People's government, and Wang Shiming, deputy director of Jiangsu MSA, went to Wuhu Shipyard to guide 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier (Ding Sheng 105) on the Yangtze River towing navigation test drill and verification work. Government always stand where enterprise stands, solve enterprises’ problem and serve enterprises’ development. Through the Yangtze River Navigation drill and verification, it shows that 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier has good cyclicity, stability and braking performance, and the trial team has rich experience and tacit cooperation. After on-site evaluation by experts and full assessment by the maritime department, the permit procedures for water and underwater activities (towing) were quickly handled, and its towing navigation on Yangtze River began on the afternoon of June 21.

Precise deployment   reliable arrangement

During the whole process of towing on the Yangtze River, the Changjiang MSA handled the administrative license efficiently and quickly. Xi Jiayue, deputy director of Wuhu MSA, personally participated in the towing along the Yangtze River. Jiangsu MSA directed Nanjing MSA, Yangzhou MSA and other departments dispatch 21 maritime patrol boats to carry out maintenance, supervise the implementation of channel traffic organization and warning and maintenance measures, and implemented temporary river closure and railway traffic control to ensure the safety of the fleet.

Command at the scene   Cross the bridge smoothly

On the morning of June 22, in order to ensure the safe and smooth passage of 49900 DWT Bulk Carriers across the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and further implement the main responsibilities of enterprises and the supervision responsibilities of the government and competent departments, Cheng Gang, vice mayor of Wuhu Municipal People's government, Wang Shiming, deputy director of Jiangsu MSA, and the main persons in charge of Wuhu MSA, Nanjing MSA and Wuhu shipyard went to Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, commanding 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier and 5 19200 horsepower tugboat fleet to pass the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. At 11:02, Ding Sheng 105 passed the Nanjing Yangtze River bridge safely and smoothly.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, around supporting and serving the development of enterprises, the municipal government and the maritime department have practiced the principle of “remaining true to our original aspiration, keeping the mission firmly in mind” and actively supported the shipbuilding and shipping development of the construction of the golden waterway of the Yangtze River. The 49900 DWT Bulk Carrier successfully passed the Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, being a shipping force rapidly, which is a good result of the joint efforts of the government, competent departments and enterprises and also a gift to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party with practical actions.
