Construction Commences on 40,800-ton MR Chemical Tanker at Weihai Base

Amidst the New Year's momentum, the Weihai Base has launched the construction of its first vessel of the year, setting a determined and optimistic tone for the annual development plan and embarking on a new chapter. On January 14th, the construction commencement ceremony for a 40,800 DWT IMO Type II product/chemical tanker, built by the company for a Turkish shipowner, was held at the Weihai Base. This event has infused the year's production and operations with a powerful and uplifting opening force. Representatives from the shipowner, including Mr. Turhan, and relevant leaders from Bureau Veritas (BV) Classification Society, such as Mr. Liu Xiaofeng, attended the ceremony to witness this significant milestone.

As the first vessel project to commence construction in 2026, the 40,800 DWT MR chemical tanker has marked the commencement of the base's production activities for the new year, establishing a steady tone for the work ahead. It has also enabled all employees to tangibly experience the orderly progression of the production rhythm and project pipeline.

With a strong start now secured and a long journey of endeavor ahead, the Weihai Base will take the commencement of this first vessel as a starting point. Guided by a craftsman’s commitment to excellence and supported by efficient, coordinated execution, we will steadily advance all phases of shipbuilding. This stable beginning of the new year will be transformed into a solid foundation for annual production and operations, paving the way for a chapter of robust development.
