Recently, the 50,000 DWT IMO Type II product/chemical tanker built at the Weihai base was successfully launched.

To ensure the safe launch of the vessel, the Weihai base coordinated various preparatory work in advance. A standardized launching process plan was formulated four months ahead of schedule, defining full-process operating procedures, role assignments, risk prevention and control measures, and emergency response actions. The Production Support Department planned the dock berths one month in advance, coordinated with relevant workshops to complete site clearance and equipment commissioning, and conducted multiple rounds of inspections on the hull and launching gear to eliminate potential risks. As the operation approached, real-time monitoring of meteorological, tidal, and current conditions was carried out, and the optimal weather window was selected for the operation, thereby building a comprehensive safety guarantee for the launch from all aspects.

As a main vessel of the MR wind-assisted series, it delivers outstanding performance. The ship has an overall length of 182.75 m, a molded breadth of 32.2 m, and a molded depth of 19.1 m, with a design deadweight of 50,000 tons. The 9+1 cargo oil tank layout allows mixed transport of refined oil and chemicals. Equipped with two wind-assisted energy-saving devices, it ingeniously applies aerodynamic principles to effectively convert natural wind power into propulsion force, significantly reducing fuel consumption. It complies with IMO Tier III emission standards, offering high efficiency and energy savings.
