The 18,500 DWT IMO Class II chemical carrier (No. 18532), constructed by Wuhu Shipyard, was smoothly launched at Dock No. 2 in recent days.

Throughout the construction process, Hull No. 18532 was built in strict pursuit of the "perfect mega-block" objective. By capitalizing on modular construction advantages, the project adopted a comprehensive workflow encompassing complete shop pre-outfitting, integrated single-lift erection, and precise dock assembly. This approach effectively transferred extensive on-site operations—particularly those involving high-altitude and confined-space work—to pre-outfitting workshops, thus fully leveraging the key benefits of "high integrity, high pre-outfitting ratio, and minimized berth-site interventions." The fore and aft mega-blocks achieved full shell plate fabrication and welding during the assembly phase, significantly enhancing the overall block integrity level.
