Steel Cutting for N o 1#, 2# 8000 DWT Mini General Cargo Ship

Production news from Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. Kept cropping up. On June 28, another 8,000 DWT mini bulk carrier No.1#, 2# was ushered in.  following 28,000 DWT duplex stainless steel chemical tanker launch in  June.

At 9:58 am on June 28, the production for the first 8,000 DWT mini General Cargo vessel No 1#、2#  built for Indian shipowner was officially started with the lighting of the plasma cutting machine. Representatives from Utkarsh Company of India, the design institute, the Class and Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. witnessed the steel cutting ceremony and signed the steel cutting attestation certificates in the conference room of the company's administrative building.

With a total length of 122 meters, molded depth of 7.2 meters and molded width of 20 meters, the ship is a general cargo vessel powered by two medium diesel engines driving two fixed pitch propellers. It has two cargo holds suitable for carrying bulk goods within Indian domestic offshore navigation area. Considering the navigation capacity of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, Wuhu Shipyard made timely adjustment of the strategy to take series orders and this series can be batch produced .
