64,000 DWT No 3# Bulk Carrier Is Safely and Successfully Launched

On June 28, 2019, Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. held a launching ceremony for the 64003 ship "Huajiang 807" built for Ningbo Runhua Shipping Company. The launching ceremony was hosted by Pan Yuhong, the administrative personnel director of Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd., and representatives of Jiangsu Daji Holding Group Co., Ltd., Ningbo Runhua Shipping Co., Ltd., China Classification Society CCS Wuhu Branch, and Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. attended the launching ceremony.

At 13:58 on June 28, Mr. Ji Wei from Jiangsu Daji Holding Group and Mr. Du Chengchang from Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. jointly cut the ribbon for the “Huajiang 807” ship. With the break of the cable, the spreading of the champagne, the ship's huge hull slowly slide down the slipway, steadily entered into the water, and outfitting and mooring work started.

In the hot weather and the Yangtze River flood season, in order to ensure the  launch in time, the company's leaders attach great importance to the project. Zhang Zhao, general manager of Wuhu Shipyard personally arranged it, the production and operation center carefully planned and unified dispatching, scientifically formulated the production plan. The workers worked hard, greatly cooperated and made innovations with high efficiency. The production tasks were decomposed into hours, and the completion status was checked every night at 23:00. In spite of the tight coating time, too much dismantling work and the difficulty in installation during the production process, the project was completed 2 days earlier than the planned, fully showing the hard working spirit of Wuhu Shipyard workers.

The successful launching of 64000 DWT No.3 was the fifth important milestone realized by the company in June and the last milestone to complete the three major milestones in a week. The production news was frequently reported, and the two-month "ebullient May and June" was successfully closed. The successful completion owes to the shipyard workers hard working and their concerted efforts. It is the crystallization of the hard work and wisdom of all employees.
