On July 24, Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. held the 2019 semi-annual summary meeting. The meeting conveyed the spirit of the group's mid-year work conference, summed up the company's work performance in the first half of the year, and deployed the company's work arrangements for the second half of the year. The conference was presided by Pan Yuhong, deputy secretary of the company's Party committee and administrative personnel director. The conference invited Zhou Biren ,deputy general manager Li Congshan, deputy general manager Liu Yang, and leaders of various functional departments of the group to participate in. More than 60 people from the company's managerial level and above attended the meeting.
First of all, the meeting listened to the work reports of the company's six centers and the responsible person of Fujiheng Company, and reported on the work of civilian products, military product research and development, technology and quality, production, cost, administration, personnel, Party building, etc. The gaps in the work in the first half of the year were found, and the work measures and plans for the second half of the year were formulated. In the first half of 2019, the company achieved double breakthroughs in business transformation and independent research and development, made significant progress in the transformation of equipment quality system and modern shipbuilding mode, and promoted three major reforms of institutions, salary systems and intelligent manufacturing, achieving orders and profits increasing by nearly 100% year-on-year, the number of shipbuilding and hand-held orders reaching the best level since the restructuring in 2007.
After work reports, General Manager Zhang Zhao made a work deployment. He pointed out that in the first half of 2019, through the joint efforts of all levels of leaders and all workers, the hard working and executive force have been significantly improved. Each center has effectively promoted the work in accordance with the company's goals. The company successfully transformed the business orders and achieved a rolling schedule of 2.5 years on the slipway. He stressed that while achieving achievements, it should be clearly aware that we didn’t realize the productivity improvement and the segmentation output over one hundred per month goals, that there were still some flaws in cost management and control, and that the inherent "six thoughts" were not completely abandoned. Everyone must see the gap between the achievements of the work and the targets. He deployed twelve tough tasks for the six centers in the second half of the year, and required that the completion status be 100% linked to the annual performance of the center responsible person , encouraging us to spare no effort to achieve stable operation, risk reducing, efficiency increasing and capabilities improving.
After listening to the shipyard work summary and the next arrangement, the responsible persons of the various functional departments of the Chery Holding Group made demands on the industry benchmarking, financial management and control, capital security, strategic development, operation management, audit internal control, personnel management, and IT support. He also said that he will spare no effort to support the work of the shipyard.
Li Congshan and Liu Yang, deputy general managers,respectively delivered a speech and fully affirmed the hard work of the shipyard employees. They said that the whole Group concerns about the development of the shipyard and unconditionally supports the development of the shipyard. Deputy General Manager Li Congshan reviewed the development history of the shipyard in the past 10 years and pointed out that the company can be one of 100 large-scale surviving shipyards in more than 1,000 shipyards attributes to the full support of the whole Group and the hard work of the shipyard employees. He pointed out that in the work summary, people would like to say the achievements instead of the shortcomings, objectives instead of subjective, and others instead of themselves. He pointed out that we should learn the spirit of “dare to think, dare to do, dare to fight”from comrade Zhang Zhao. Especially some new colleagues must have an empty mindset, and integrate with the company as soon as possible to contribute to the development of the shipyard. Managers of all levels are required to cherish hard-won achievements, have a strong sense of responsibility and mission, and must firmly develop good confidence.
Finally, Zhou Biren, general manager and Party secretary of the shipyard, made an important speech. He pointed out that the current ship market is still in a downturn, but any bad industry also has excellent companies that do well. He requested the shipyard to make great efforts to solve the problems left over by history, effectively prevent risks, strengthen the use of the amoeba concept, and further implement “doing everything possible to reduce costs, do everything possible to take orders, try every means to avoid risks, and do everything possible to ensure safety”. He asked the cadres and staff to objectively understand the problems existing in the development and fully see the favorable conditions for development. We must find gaps, bolster areas of weakness, take the initiative to make improvement, unite and work together to achieve the 2019 business objectives.
