Quality Month--benchmarking for improvement and promoting quality for development

Since the beginning of September, in response to the notice of “conducting the national quality month activity”and the overall policy of “creating China’s quality and building a powerful quality country”of the 14 departments like National Bureau of Market Supervision. Wuhu shipyard has been promoting the relevant “Quality Month”activity. The theme of the “Quality Month”of Wuhu shipyard is “benchmarking for improvement and promoting quality for development”, which aims to create a thick atmosphere of “everyone cares about quality and everyone improves quality”, and break through the short board and bottleneck, thus providing the quality competitiveness for the company’s transformation, upgrading, innovation and development, and for entering the international market.

Coordinated deployments and clear requirements

On September 3, the company called the “Quality Month”kick-off meeting to publicly interpret the contents of the five sections of the “Quality Month” activity, and further clarified the setting purpose and specific requirements. At the same time, the meeting discussed the problems existing in the daily quality management of each module and reached a consensus on key quality control points.





After the kick-off meeting, in order to effectively carry out the “Quality Month” , the company's business units carried out quality publicizing and implementation through theoretical training presentations, on-site inspections of production quality, quality management billboards, banner signing and other activities. At present, the total number of training sessions has reached nearly 20, more than 1900 people of the company’s employees and laborers have participated in the Quality Month activity, and good results have been achieved.




The “Quality Month” activity closely focused on the theme of “benchmarking for improvement and promoting quality for development”, with the goal of fully promoting the effective operation of the quality management system and comprehensively improving the company's quality competitiveness.  Through the five major sections of quality management evaluation, quality ability improvement, quality culture publicity, physical quality competition, and quality innovation, the Quality Month activity was carried out. Starting with the necessary knowledge and abilities of the post, through learning and implementing standards, the self-study awareness of quality owners at all levels was enhanced and the quality management level was improved. Through theoretical training presentations, skill drill competitions and the use of self-inspections, mutual inspections, special inspections, external inspections and routing inspections, various bad quality habits were thoroughly investigated, thus cultivating the stuff’s awareness of quality and, enhancing professional skills and providing quality innovation drive for the company’s development.

Quality is the lifeline of enterprise development

Quality management relies not only on single management or related quality system requirements, but quality improvement requires all workers’ full participation and joint maintenance. Quality is led by business leaders, the management personnel focuses on implementation. The quality formed in the work layer for a long time is a kind of undisclosed rule that can not be taken, can not run away, and penetrates into the hearts of every employee. It is of an important part of the corporate culture, a strong guarantee to make the corporate widely recognized and the lifeline of the enterprise development.
